Another comic book convention is in the books — this time, FanX Salt Lake City, formerly known as Salt Lake City Comic Con.
The convention infamously lost a lawsuit to San Diego Comic-Con International, who claim they have a trademark on the phrase “comic con.” While thus far FanX SLC is the only convention to change their name, it raises some questions about the legality of names such as New York Comic Con.
Regardless, the show must go on, and the reports coming out of FanX this year are largely very positive. Celebrities such as Jeff Goldblum and Daniel Logan, who played young Boba Fett in the Star Wars prequels, were on hand. Many showed their excitement on social media:
